Bieber's Option: Blue Jays Strengthen Rotation

**Summary:**Shane Bieber, the Toronto Blue Jays' star pitcher, has exercised his player option for the 2026 season, solidifying his commitment to the team. This decision comes after a strong showing late in the previous season, with Bieber maintaining a respectable ERA and strikeout rate despite returning from Tommy John surgery. His commitment strengthens the Blue Jays' starting rotation, joining established aces and promising young talent. This move also provides financial clarity, allowing the team to focus on other key areas for the 2026 campaign. DNN | The Daily News Now! The world’s first global local news network. Every city.
