The Problem With “God Made Me This Way” | Ultimate Issues Hour

From Timeless Wisdom with Dennis Prager Salem Podcast Network

In this thought provoking episode of Timeless Wisdom, Dennis Prager challenges the common phrase, “God made me this way.” He examines what it means to believe that God determines the way we are born and whether that belief should shape how we respond to our natural tendencies, abilities, and limitations.

Dennis explores human nature, free will, morality, and personal responsibility, discussing everything from disabilities to destructive tendencies and the idea that some people may be born with stronger inclinations toward good or evil. He argues that what we are given does not determine how we must live.

But if God did not necessarily make us the way we are, what does He actually expect from us? Dennis offers a provocative answer that shifts the entire question from “What did God make me?” to “What does God want me to do?”
