Dr. Alon Loeffler is a scientist specialising in Synthetic Biological Intelligence, with his key research focus being the interplay between structure and function in neuro-memristive nanowire networks. What? (I hear you say) In simple terms, he is building a brain (of sorts) in the lab. At the very least, synthetic neurons (brain cells) which he's currently 'teaching' to play basic computer games (like Pong).
