AFTER DARK | The Legend of Pope Lick : Louisville’s Goatman & the Trestle Deaths | Urban Myth & Real Tragedy

From The Whispering Woods : Real Life Ghost & Paranormal Stories True, Scary, Paranormal, Folklore and Ghost Stories

Something new stirs in the dark... This weekend, The Whispering Woods unveils After Dark, our most haunting tales yet. New Episodes every Saturday and Sunday.

High above the woods of eastern Louisville stands the Pope Lick Trestle, an active railway bridge with a terrifying reputation. For decades, locals have whispered about the Pope Lick Monster - a half-man, half-goat creature said to hypnotize trespassers and lure them to their deaths. The site has claimed numerous lives, each one tangled in the legend’s long shadow. In this episode, we explore the chilling folklore, its origins, and the tragic fatalities that gave an urban myth a body count.
