The Kaitlin Armstrong Files: Police Are Alerted To A Possible Campground Sighting (10/4/25)

During the height of the manhunt, investigators received reports of a possible sighting of Kaitlin Armstrong at a remote campground in the weeks after she fled Austin. Witnesses claimed they saw a woman matching her description—tall, athletic, with long hair—moving in and out of a campsite not far from the East Coast. The tip was taken seriously enough that law enforcement followed up, scouring the area and interviewing those who had been staying nearby. While the lead did not ultimately result in Armstrong’s capture, it reflected how wide-ranging and unpredictable the search had become, with potential sightings trickling in from multiple states. to contact me: [email protected]
