Lassismo

Jimbo, James Horncastle, Julien Laurens and Alvaro Romeo return to cast their eye over this weekend’s continental football.

It’s a good start for Jose Mourinho and Tammy Abraham at Roma in Serie A, while champions Inter thrash Genoa. But the rumours around Ronaldo suggest he wants to leave Juventus.

Lyon and Monaco continue to struggle in Ligue 1 but the headlines are dominated by trouble between Nice fans and Marseille staff which sees their game abandoned.

La Liga promises to be tight with Barca and Real both held, while Manuel Pellegrini fears there’s not enough actual football being played in Spain.

And we get our first glimpse of Marsch-ball as Leipzig bounce back in Germany.
