7-16-26 Morning Rush - JD Vance's Epstein Spin On Joe Rogan Backfires + New Mitch McConnell Hospital Mystery

The Rush Hour is back with a packed morning show as we break down Vice President J.D. Vance's headline-making appearance on The Joe Rogan Experience, where he attempted to defend the Trump administration's handling of the Epstein files while also addressing the administration's failed war messaging. We'll separate fact from political spin, examine why critics say the interview amounted to damage control, and unpack the claims that simply don't hold up under scrutiny. Vance acknowledged the administration "screwed up" its communications on the Epstein files, but was adamant it wasn't part of a cover-up—a defense that has left many unconvinced. We dive into the contradictions, the public backlash, and what it all means going forward.

Plus, the mystery surrounding Mitch McConnell continues. After weeks of questions about the senator's health, new developments emerged as his wife, Elaine Chao, was spotted leaving the rehabilitation hospital where McConnell has reportedly been recovering. We'll go over the latest sightings, what has actually been confirmed about his condition, and why the lack of transparency has fueled so much speculation.

All that and more on this morning's episode of The Rush Hour.
