Lanterns Controversy, Avengers: Doomsday & Secret Wars Chaos, & GREG'S B-DAY! & More X-MEN Casting?!

It’s Greg’s birthday stream!! 🎂 Come hang out with Greg, Coy, and the crew as we celebrate, talk some nerdy nonsense, and dive into a LOT of Marvel & DC news! Today we’re getting into the controversy surrounding Lanterns Episode 3 and John Stewart’s new origin story. Is the backlash justified? Are people completely misreading the episode? Or did DC and the creatives behind the show pour gasoline on the fire with some of their comments? The Russo Brothers are calling Avengers: Doomsday a “back to zero,” “starting from scratch” moment and a “profound shift” for the MCU — while also revealing they’re shooting with an unfinished script and allowing the actors to shape the story through rehearsal and improvisation. Noah Jupe has reportedly joined Avengers: Secret Wars in a mystery role! Andrew Garfield still believes anyone should be able to wear the Spider-Man mask — regardless of race, gender, or sexuality. And Stranger Things star Dacre Montgomery is rumored to be the frontrunner to play Remy LeBeau / Gambit in Marvel Studios’ upcoming X-Men reboot! All that, birthday chaos, YOUR questions, super chats, and whatever other random shit comes up along the way.
