The Trump Assassination Plots: What the Investigations Missed | Ken Silva
On July 13, 2024, a gunman opened fire at a Donald Trump campaign rally in Butler, Pennsylvania, nearly changing the course of American history. Just 64 days later, another alleged assassination attempt unfolded in Florida. Two attempts on the life of a former president, and a growing list of questions about how they happened. Who was Thomas Matthew Crooks? How did he manage to position himself on a rooftop overlooking Trump's rally? Why did the Secret Service fail to stop him? And what do we really know about Ryan Routh, the man accused in the second assassination attempt? This week, investigative journalist Ken Silva joins The Rabbit Hole to discuss his book, The Trump Assassination Plots: What the Investigations Missed and Why It Matters. Together, we examine the official investigations, troubling security failures, the backgrounds of the alleged perpetrators, and the evidence Ken believes has been overlooked. From FBI investigations and government informants to alleged Iranian assassination plots and unanswered questions surrounding Butler, we're exploring what has been established, what remains disputed, and what the public still deserves to know. Was this simply a series of extraordinary security failures, or is there more to the story? Follow me down the rabbit hole of the Trump assassination plots.
