Why Didn't Australia Vote Yes For A Ceasefire In Gaza?
On Friday the United Nations general assembly overwhelmingly called for an "immediate, durable and sustainable humanitarian truce" between Israel and Hamas. The motion, drafted by Jordan, had 120 nations voting in favour, 14, including the US and Israel voting no and 45 countries, including Australia, the UK and Canada abstaining from voting at all.
