Here's Why Millions Of Your Favourite Tik Tok Videos Have Fallen Silent

Have you been on TikTok lately and noticed a lot of videos are now silent? That's because Universal Music Group, or UMG, have decided to remove the music they own from the video sharing platform. In this episode of The Quicky, we speak to an expert who can tell us why this is happening, as well as Aussie artist Amy Sheppard from the band Sheppard (yes the guys who sang Geronimo!) about how this move will affect her and other artists who rely on the social media exposure to get the support from their record labels. Check out Amy's new song Small Town Rumours here. Want to try our new exercise app? Click here to start a seven day free trial of MOVE by Mamamia. Subscribe to Mamamia GET IN TOUCH Feedback?
