How To Get a Mortgage To Buy Property ... If You Don't Live in NZ | Ep. 367
In this episode, we are once again joined by Tony Mounce from Tony Mounce Mortgages and Insurance. Here, we discuss the rules and regulations for getting a mortgage if you are a Kiwi living overseas (and even if you're not).
The banks have tighter restriction on overseas borrowers than those living in New Zealand. Typically an overseas investor will require a 30% deposit (rather than a 20% deposit) ... and the way serviceability (mortgage affordability) is calculated is also much tighter.
We wrap up the episode, by discussing our upcoming Live Podcast tour and the new dates which have been released because of the Covid-19 resurgence. See the new dates for this property investment event by clicking this link.
