UNPROVEN: Notre Dame Adds ELITE Talent With Champ Monds, But Injury Concerns REMAIN

Notre Dame football faces a quarterback recruiting conundrum as Champ Monds shuts down his high school season, raising serious concerns about the Fighting Irish’s future under center. With Monds reclassifying and entering college with less than 20 high school games played, questions mount: Can Notre Dame count on Monds, despite his inexperience, or down the line will they be forced to hit the transfer portal for a proven quarterback? There’s more good news with the current signal-caller behind center for the Irish.

Versus Wisconsin, CJ Carr’s growth, arm talent, and game management look fantastic. The question of playmakers is still questionable. For instance, whether Notre Dame’s wide receiver group–beyond Jordan Faison–possesses the firepower for a College Football Playoff run. The run game is still Notre Dame’s bread and butter, and don’t count out the running back room in the passing game either.
Brian Smith and Tyler Wojciak break down the offensive line’s turnaround and how it impacts the offense’s explosiveness, especially with Aneyas Williams and Nolan James, Jr. having big moments versus the Badgers. The discussion also focuses on strategic personnel rotations and crucial development periods leading up to the pivotal BYU matchup. Can the Irish find their next leader and address glaring depth questions before the schedule intensifies?
