SHOCK: Notre Dame Fans SOUND OFF as Transfer Portal Patience BACKFIRES With Nick Marsh Loss

From The Portal - Daily College Recruiting and NIL Podcast Locked On Podcast Network, Brian Smith

Notre Dame's slow start in the transfer portal sparks fan anxiety—will patience pay off or signal trouble for Marcus Freeman's squad? Top wide receiver target Nick Marsh chooses Indiana, raising questions about the Irish's portal approach, timing of campus visits, and NIL strategy as the program seeks to fill gaps at receiver and along the defensive line.

Tyler Wojcick and Brian Smith analyze Notre Dame’s search for impact transfers at wide receiver—eyeing Ian Strong, Reed Harris, and Isaiah Canyon—and break down the critical need for defensive tackles with names like Xavier Gilliam and Mateen Ibirogba in focus. Charlie Partridge’s arrival as defensive line coach brings renewed optimism for the pass rush. The episode also covers quarterback depth behind CJ Carr, concerns in the kicker department, and a realistic haul of six to eight portal additions. Will the Irish find the high-end talent needed for a top-five roster in 2024?
