FIRING WATCH: USC & Lincoln Riley Needs UPSET WIN Over Ohio State

Lincoln Riley’s job security is under the microscope as USC Trojans face a critical home showdown against Ohio State. Could a loss signal the end of Riley’s tenure, regardless of his sizable buyout and recent top-ranked recruiting class? The conversation explores USC’s offensive struggles, including Jayden Maiava issues behind an inconsistent O-line and the running game’s shocking collapse, growing impatience among boosters, and the risk of NIL funding drying up if mediocrity persists.

Key topics include the looming threat of roster turnover in the transfer portal era, the impact of potential losses to rivals like undefeated UCLA and Indiana, and how recruiting retention could define USC’s future. The discussion weighs Riley’s future, Gary Patterson’s defensive turnaround efforts, and whether USC can exploit Ohio State’s vulnerabilities with playmakers like Trent Mosley, Kayden Dixon-Wyatt, and Mark Bowman. Can the Trojans restore dominance, or is the program headed for major upheaval?
