EXCLUSIVE: Inside Wisconsin Badgers' BOLD Portal Moves—Luke Fickell's Roster Decisions MUST Work

The Wisconsin Badgers seek redemption and a return to Big Ten prominence with new transfer portal additions and a retooled offense. Can quarterback Colton Joseph, a dynamic but inconsistent playmaker from Old Dominion, solve the Badgers’ long-standing quarterback woes and ignite a vertical passing attack? The revamped offense features fresh faces at receiver and running back, with Jalen DiMaggio and Eugene Hilton, Jr. creating buzz alongside a bolstered line and a new starter at center.

Brian Smith and Ryan Herrings assess spring standouts like Iowa State transfer Abu Sama and breakout linebacker Jon Jon Kamara, while questioning if Wisconsin’s recruiting—strong in-state but struggling at defensive line and corner—can lift the program's ceiling. With a friendlier 2024 schedule and high expectations, the pressure is on for the Badgers to produce eight wins and secure key rivalry victories. Will the new-look Badgers put last season’s frustrations behind them and seize momentum?
