The Patrick Madrid Show: October 02, 2026 - Hour 1

Patrick opens today's episode by honestly addressing a listener's concerns about a past show, emphasizing his respect for women’s involvement in both church and civic life and clarifying misunderstandings about his views. He then thoughtfully answers questions that move from the meaning of faith and works in Christian life to the mysteries surrounding Judas Iscariot’s fate, providing scriptural and historical context while guiding listeners seeking spiritual renewal or deeper understanding.

• Melanie (email) - After hearing you go along with Sherry’s claim that the problem began when women got the right to vote, I’m reconsidering listening to your show and donating to Relevant Radio, because if I’m not worthy to vote, I’m left wondering whether I’m worthy to pray, attend Mass, or even vote on church remodeling. (00:49)
• Raphael (16-years-old) - James 2 v 14 talks about faith and works. I am Catholic and go to a Christian school. How do I describe my position? (10:20)
• What’s Wrong With Bowing to the Priest at Mass? https://patrickmadrid.substack.com/p/whats-wrong-with-bowing-to-the-priest (22:04)
• Matt - I am not Catholic but raised Russian Orthodox. I have always wondered about Mark 5:30 where Jesus heals the woman afflicted by bleeding. Did Jesus have an innate reserve of power he controlled? How did this work? (25:23)
• Marshall (email) - Why doesn’t the Catholic Church allow divorce on the grounds of adultery, as Matthew 5:32 seems to permit, when in my wife’s annulment the only available grounds was alcoholism even though her former husband had been unfaithful?
• Did Judas go to hell?
