He urges everyone to pray for those affected and applauds the heroic efforts of firefighters on the ground. Patrick shares the latest update on the Southern California fires Audio: Newsom and Anderson - there's no water in the hydrants because it's such a large scale event (09:54) Audio: Fox11 Anchor: “Despite what you have heard from Caruso, no firefighters have told us that they are running out of water” *cut to reporter on the ground* Reporter: “Firefighters have told me… they have no water to put on this fire” (12:42) Richard - I am east of LA but winds blew all night long. Constant wind with gusts up to 85. Very unusual. (18:25) Jacquie - I grew up in Palisades. My childhood homes and parish are gone. This is heartbreaking. (22:46) Michael - I live in fires area close to Venice. I worked in Palisades. It hasn't spread because of water but because of wind. If it was blowing in a different direction, then LA would have burned. It's a domino effect. (31:12) Nina - My daughter is 15 miles from fires. I prayed with her children for first time in years because of these fires. They didn't want anything to do with faith. (36:25) Audio: Adam Carolla applied to be a firefighter in LA and had to wait SEVEN YEARS to get called back for an exam because he wasn't black, Hispanic, or a woman (42:35) Audio: 2022 New LA Fire Chief and DEI Hire says her mission is to hire diversity (46:24) Cindy - I have been listening to the show and wanted to share my reflection. Praying for conversion. (47:24) John - I disagree about using salt water to put out equipment. This is not a good idea it will corrode firefighting equipment.
