The Patrick Madrid Show: August 01, 2024 - Hour 1

Patrick delves into the fascinating topic of Jesus and humor, exploring whether Christ ever uses humor with his apostles. He discusses biblical anecdotes that may suggest some irony or wry humor but concludes that there's no clear evidence of Jesus cracking jokes. Robert (email) – Men are boxing women in the Olympics! (00:50) Steve - What do you think about the fake ad for the right wing called 'These guys are just weird'? It is about the Catholic teachings on sexuality. Jodi - Do priests from SSPX ever leave and come back to the Catholic Church? What would happen? (10:41) Charlie - My wife did a retreat and the priest said that we weren't allowed to take the host because we were only civilly married. Is that true? (18:26) Laura - Jesus preached mercy not tolerance. We must say no to the transgender insanity. (26:16) Brenda (email) – Did Jesus smile or laugh? (34:51) Jean - My daughter-in-law didn't feel inspire by going to our Catholic Church. She wants to go to a mega-Church to get 'inspired'. Can I go to the Mega-Church with her? (43:26)
