The Patrick Madrid Show: April 07, 2025 - Hour 2

Patrick discusses theological questions like priests receiving Communion while in mortal sin and covers Russell Brand's legal troubles in the UK. Patrick explores teaching kids about the Eucharist, the essence of salvation history, and how to manage Sunday Mass obligations with work commitments. Stella (email) – I get it that priests need to distribute Communion to the laity, but why is that reason enough for them to personally receive if they are in a state of mortal sin? (00:36) Vicki - I think the UK is attacking Russel Brand because of his faith. I feel like the Vatican should speak up for him. What do you think? (08:18) Carol - How can I explain the true presence to younger kids in my catechism class without them getting squeamish? (18:43) Gabriel (9-years-old) - What should I do if I took communion with a mortal sin on my soul? (25:53) Joe - Are the Gospel’s simply the salvation story? Is the Bible just filling in the timeline? (28:10) Maria - Is it a sin to miss Mass on Sunday if your Job requires you to work weekends? Can a weekday Mass replace Sunday Mass? (38:30) Tim - I was involuntarily born but I need to use my voluntary free will to follow God. I feel like I am missing something. (42:04)
