Inside the Parker: All Over Ohtani with World Series champion Jerry Hairston Jr & FOX Sports Radio Weekend host Monse Bolaños

On this week’s edition of Inside the (Rob) Parker , Rob discusses why he was so happy to see Shohei Ohtani sign with the Los Angeles Dodgers rather than a team like the Toronto Blue Jays, why he has a problem with the structure of Ohtani’s $700 million contract and why the Ohtani signing shouldn’t automatically make the Dodgers the favorites to win the World Series in 2024. Plus, World Series champion and SportsNet LA analyst Jerry Hairston Jr swings by to discuss the impact of the Ohtani signing, whether or not the two-way star is really worth the money they’re paying him, what makes Ohtani signing with the Dodgers the ‘perfect storm’ for Major League Baseball and how the structure of Ohtani’s contract helps them to acquire even more talent. Finally, FOX Sports Radio Weekend host and Dodgers tour lead Monse Bolanos checks in to discuss the fan response to Ohtani both in Los Angeles and across the country and how the Ohtani courtship – and eventual signing - has affected employees within the Dodgers organization.
