Back to the Bible Canada with Dr. John Neufeld - The Mysteries of the Cross: The Victory over Satan

How could a humiliating death on a Roman cross be history’s greatest victory? Working through Colossians 2:13–15, Dr. John Neufeld traces Satan’s defeat from the promise of Genesis 3:15 to the Cross, where God cancelled our record of debt, disarmed the powers of darkness, and broke Satan’s authority to hold his captives. His only remaining weapon is the lie.

The Mysteries of the Cross: Why did Jesus have to die, and what really happened on the Cross? “The Mysteries of the Cross” is a five-message series where Dr. John Neufeld teaches from Scripture on the important and contentious issue of the atonement. He covers the fundamental topics of sacrifice and wrath in the Old Testament, Jesus as our substitute, the doctrine of imputation, how Satan was defeated, and who Jesus died for. Discover why the Cross belongs at the centre of all we believe and how we live. There is no greater thing that we can do than to plumb the mysteries of the Cross!
