PM UPDATE: CA’s insurer of last resort needs $1B to cover L.A. fire claims

California's FAIR plan -- the home insurer of last resort -- needs a billion dollars to pay out claims from the firestorms. The Army Corp Of Engineers, FEMA, and local leaders have gathered as they were given the green light to start clearing out debris for hundreds of homes in the Palisades. And SoCal Edison is being accused of tampering with evidence from the Eaton Fire.
