586: Hope is the greatest motivation

We are talking about motivation. Without adequate motivation, we do nothing. Literally, we’d never get out of bed. The only reason we do anything at all is due to motive. So what will increase our motives? In this show today we hear a 1.5 min message from Zig Ziglar on what he believes to be the number one source of motivation - hope. Now you can hope for any number of things, but the key is not those things, but the hope itself - the reality of you actually expecting something to be possible and come to pass. The danger of course is when you DON’T actually have hope. We have an ever increasing amount of depression and even suicide in our culture today. I’m not a doctor or psychiatrist folks, admittedly. But I’m a student of humans and their behavior and I’ll wager there is little depression or suicide when there is actual hope. So this message is a big one. Now from Zig’s message, I posted on Facebook this question, “What are you looking forward to, right now, that is a daily motivation?” you can join in these weekly discussions by friending me on Facebook, find me at agentkmiller. Of course we received great feedback and I talked through it with my frequent co-host, Michelle Prince. I’m sure you will resonate with much that was shared. Learn more about your ad choices.
