Why Did the Browns Go For It on 4th and 1?
Ken and Anthony open with Todd Monken's postgame comments and his backwards hat, then spend most of the segment debating the Browns' decision to go for it on fourth and one late against Carolina instead of kicking the field goal. They question whether analytics can account for the flow of the game, the weather and the human element, and they credit Monken for playing to win while wondering if the Browns can consistently convert short yardage. They also point out the Panthers' own fourth down gambles handed Cleveland 10 points in the first half.
