Money Matthews w/ Frank Seravalli & Sam McKee

JD kicks things off alongside his Leafs Talk co-host, Sam McKee, in-studio to break down Auston Matthews' extension with the Maple Leafs! They debate whether the contract should be viewed as a positive or rather a new precedent set, before chatting about the expectations that come with being the highest paid player in the league (00:01). Next up, Daily Faceoff's Frank Seravalli adds to the conversation to discuss the term of the deal, what it means for William Nylander’s negotiations, and how it could impact the rest of Toronto's roster construction (11:32). Later on, JD and Sam forecast what's on the horizon for Mitch Marner next season and if Nylander would consider taking a haircut on his next contract, before JD shares why Willy's comments bothered him yesterday.
