Rape threats and car bombs: the ongoing abuse of Ireland's female politicians

Please note that today's podcast has content that some may find distressing. Fine Gael TD Jennifer Carroll McNeill's victim-impact statement provided to the courts last week, over a campaign of harassment against her by an internet troll, was a powerful declaration of how fearful it made her feel. Now, her peers are telling their own stories to hit home the ongoing online abuse and threats against female politicians. Rape threats, car bombs, and racist language are just some of the awful abuses experienced by our guests. Presenter Siobhán Maguire is joined by Fianna Fail Senator Lisa Chambers and Green Party Cllr and former Dublin Lord Mayor Hazel Chu.
