Growing Up Haunted, Working with the Dead, Part Two | Grave Talks CLASSIC

This is a Grave Talks CLASSIC EPISODE! PART TWO

Some people meet the paranormal by accident. Lance Anderson met it at home. Long before he ever stepped foot in a morgue, Lance’s childhood was shaped by the quiet—yet unmistakable—presence of visitors no one else could see. Footsteps that knew the hallways too well. Doors that seemed to remember when to open. Sounds that belonged to someone who shouldn’t have been there at all.

Those early experiences didn’t scare Lance away from the unknown—they prepared him for a career spent alongside it. Working in a morgue isn’t for everyone, but for someone raised with an awareness of the other side, it felt strangely natural. Still, even he learned quickly that spirits don’t always respect working hours… or silence. And sometimes, humor becomes the only way to bridge a world the living and the dead share.

Lance reflects on a lifetime of haunted moments, unexplained encounters, and a vocation where the line between the natural and the supernatural blurs nightly. What does it take to coexist with those who haven’t fully moved on? And how do you handle a spirit who refuses to rest?
