The United States says it has brokered a tentative deal for Ukraine and Russia to stop fighting in the Black Sea to ensure safe navigation for commercial shopping in the waterway. The deal wrapped up days of negotiations in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia that have were working towards a concrete overall ceasefire deal. Meanwhile, French President Emmanuel Macron, following a meeting with President Zelenskyy, proposed European nations put together an armed force for possible deployment in Ukraine.
