Evening Edition: 9/11 Stories of Heroism and Bravery
One of the most enduring memories of the 9/11 tragedy is the way first responders and others ran 'towards' the attack sites, not 'away', which saved countless lives by the actions of those heroes. Twenty-five years after 9/11, one of the first responders from that day who received a 'Purple Heart' for his heroism, Bryan Stern, is reflecting back to the moment the attacks began and how he became part of the immediate response. FOX’s Tonya J. Powers speaks with Bryan Stern, founder of national nonprofit 'Grey Bull Rescue', who shares his story of 9/11 and explains how his experience would shape his eventual work leading rescue missions in some of the world’s most dangerous places.
