The day we got 86,000 at the MCG

Season 7, Ep 23: World Cup finals do have that special sauce. A few years ago you could barely have assembled a dodgeball game out of the attendance at most women's international matches. This time they aimed to fill the MCG, and pretty well did. Alyssa Healy provided the fireworks, Katy Perry provided Firework. It was a night of joy. Geoff and Adam have covered a lot of those less celebrated games over the years, so they won't pretend to be impartial about how well this one went. This week, a brief word with World Cup winners Beth Mooney and Megan Schutt. An epic new spot of Stat Man with a tale that defies belief. Daniel Norcross broadcasting his WWII update from occupied France. A new round of Nerd Pledge. The Lightning Round from around the world. And your favourite satellite phone providers are back. Thanks to Henry Moeran for the cover artwork, titled: match report + Hot & Cold in concert. This is the Final Word.
