The Case to Call Up Yesavage + Kaprizov’s Price Tag & Crosby Sweepstakes

Ben Ennis and Brent Gunning open the second hour with a Jays reset that examines Jeff Hoffman’s late inning hassles and make the case to call up Trey Yesavage. They revisit Andrés Giménez’s contract, an unforgotten horror, and whether moving him to shortstop in Bo Bichette’s absence makes sense. After the break, Sportsnet’s Jason Bukala (23:00) joins to discuss Kirill Kaprizov’s contract negotiations, what could become of the Minnesota Wild without him, and how the size of his next deal could reset the market. He also weighs in on whether a Sidney Crosby sweepstakes might actually materialize, and closes by discussing the scenarios surrounding Quinn Hughes in Vancouver.
