Shanny the Fall Guy + Playoff Killer Instinct

In the final hour, Ben and Brent keep the focus on the story of the week: another disappointing Maple Leafs playoff exit and what changes it could signify this offseason. The hosts welcome on Damien Cox, longtime contributor with The Star, for his thoughts on the news that Brendan Shanahan’s time in Toronto is over and what that means for the organization going forward. The trio discuss why ultimately the decision was made to not renew his contract, the obstacles he faced in his role, and if it was all mostly circumstance. Next the morning duo check in with NHL veteran and Sportsnet analyst, Blake Wheeler (31:11), for his thoughts on these Stanley Cup playoffs. They get into what makes the Panthers so dominant, how close the Leafs are to them, and what it means for a player to have "killer instinct" in the postseason.
