NHL Off-Season Check in + Jays-Guardians Takeaways

Daniele Franceschi and Sam McKee welcome Sportsnet.ca NHL writer Ryan Dixon to break down a busy week in the NHL, including Connor Hellebuyck's latest trade comments, his market, Winnipeg's playoff failures, and the ripple effects of Cale Makar's extension on future stars like Quinn Hughes amid a rising salary cap. They also discuss Bill Guerin's media tour and whether Minnesota remains Hughes' long-term destination. Later, Ben Shulman (29:36) joins the show to recap the Blue Jays' loss to Cleveland, whether the offensive struggles are a concern, Brett Bateman's future in centre field, what defines a successful season, and Dylan Cease's outlook on the mound. Daniele and Sam close out the morning by gauging fan reaction on what would make this Jays season a success.
