Matthews Season of Secrecy Continues

Ben and Brent dive into the Maple Leafs' season-ending reflections and exit interviews. They begin by addressing how players downplayed the pressure of playing in Toronto. The conversation shifts to the first-year captain, who acknowledged an injury that troubled him all season but remained tight-lipped about details. They discuss whether the team could've managed the situation better and if the captain could’ve been at 100% for the playoffs. The duo also touches on Matthew Knies dismissing the idea of an offer sheet. They then welcome Sportsnet's Jason Bukala (25:13) to share insights on Auston Matthews' season and the broader challenges the team faces this offseason.
