Jays Lose Critical Series in Texas + McKenna and Matthews Impressions

Ben Ennis and Brent Gunning start the week getting into the Blue Jays losing ground in the Wild Card race, Dylan Cease’s concerning fastball velocity, and the Blue Jays decision to skip Cease’s next start against the Baltimore Orioles. The duo then turns their attention to Vladimir Guerrero Jr. being taken out of Sunday’s game due to lower back tightness; why the timing matters and what if he’s been hurt for a longer stretch of the season? Then, Ben and Brent turn their attention to the Maple Leafs pre-season debut; their first impressions of Gavin McKenna, how Auston Matthews looked after his rehabilitation, and the effects of a shortened pre-season.
