Blue Jays Drop Series to Pirates + Bieber on the Way

Brent Gunning is joined once again by Sam McKee to chat about the Blue Jays, who dropped their series finale to the Pirates yesterday afternoon in Pittsburgh. They break down what went wrong in the game and question if there’s any concern of Toronto playing down to their competition. With all of the scoring coming in the first inning for both sides, the guys chat about the solid performance from Chris Bassitt and the Jays bullpen. They express their disappointment that Tommy Pham drove in both runs for the Pirates, before looking ahead to Shane Bieber's anticipated Blue Jays debut Friday in Miami. In the back end of the hour, the pair chat about the Maple Leafs offseason and Auston Matthews' latest comments on his former teammate. Sam tees up a game of true or false for Toronto's upcoming season, as Brent zeroes in on what will come to fruition in 2025-26.
