Toronto Takes Action Adding Scott Laughton

Matt Marchese and Mike Futa open this hour detailing the full trade for Scott Laughton as the Maple Leafs send a conditional first-rounder and Nikita Grebenkin to Philly. The pair discuss how the trade improves Toronto to compete with the likes of the Panthers and Lightning, what's next for Brad Marchand, and if the Canucks are poised to make a splash. As reports of Carolina's return for Mikko Rantanen roll in, Matt and Mike question if the 'Canes still have more in the works, before looking back on Jets' moves adding Luke Schenn and Brandon Tanev. Kelly Hrudey (32:10) of Hockey Night in Canada joins the guys in-studio to share the reality of the trade deadline for the players involved. The trio wrap up The FAN Hockey Show's Trade Deadline Special with a discussion on Vancouver's intriguing pieces still on the board and how much of a boost Laughton will bring to Toronto's lineup heading towards the playoffs.
