The State Of Goaltending w/ Kelly Hrudey + Klingberg To Edmonton

Matt Marchese and Mike Futa kickstart the show by recapping the Edmonton Oilers' big victory over the Colorado Avalanche Thursday night, and discuss the nuances of teams looking to add key players well before the trade deadline. Then, Hockey Night In Canada analyst Kelly Hrudey (15:45) joins to preview the 25th edition of Scotiabank Hockey Day In Canada in Canmore. The trio offer thoughts on the level of goalie injuries in the NHL, getting cut from youth hockey teams growing up, the state of the netminder position, and Connor Hellebuyck's Vezina-calibre season thus far. After, the boys weigh in on the breaking news of John Klingberg signing with the Oilers, before wrapping up with 'The Futa Five' (49:17), including the ongoing drama with the Vancouver Canucks, Jakub Dobes' stellar start in Montreal, and Alex Ovechkin's overtime winner.
