Hellebuyck Trade Analysis with Jason Bukala

Matt Marchese and Mike Futa begin by sharing details of Connor Hellebuyck’s now completed trade to the New Jersey Devils, before looking ahead to this weekend’s NHL action on the Futa Five! Jason Bukala (19:36), Sportsnet analyst and founder of the Pro Hockey Group, joins the guys in-studio to share an in-depth look at the Jets’ return in the deal and how having Hellebuyck in goal vaults the Devils into contender status. Jason also weighs in on whether Connor McDavid has any rivals around the league, Jack Eichel as a franchise player, the players they watched in junior that proved them wrong, and if McDavid will be on hockey’s Mount Rushmore at the end of his career. The boys wrap up with a discussion about the skills they watch for when scouting players (59:18), along with what can and can’t be fixed.
