#229 - Dimas Salaberrios | Angelos Kyriakides
Doctors called it schizophrenia. He believes it was demonic. Urban missionary and apologist Angelos Kyriakides tells Eric his story: he was getting high at 12, using drugs by 16, and had a breakdown at 17. He explains how a Good Will Hunting scene at 3 a.m. and a mentor who slammed a Bible on the floor finally brought him to Christ, and why he believes the West needs a public confrontation with the gospel.First, filmmaker and pastor Dimas Salaberrios, author of Street God, talks about his new thriller, Fettered, the story of a girl from the Bronx who wakes up in the woods after a prom-night party, and the warning every parent and grandparent should pass on: never pick up a drink you walked away from. Fettered stars his daughter, Skylar Salaberrios, along with Al Sapienza, Sean Ringgold and the late John Capodice. It's streaming on Tubi, and Dimas says it's coming to Amazon Prime. He also discusses Chicago: America's Hidden War, his documentary about churches taking to the streets of Chicago, made with the backing of Denzel Washington and now on Amazon Prime.Dimas also tells the story he shares in Street God: how he went from drug kingpin to Christ, and the judge who gave him a second chance.Angelos's book is Leaving the Labyrinth; find it and his work at therightstory.org. Dimas's memoir, Street God, is available from Tyndale.⭐ ORDER NOW:Revolution: The Birth of the Greatest Nation in the History of the World📕: https://a.co/d/0ir3NlapTODAY'S SPONSORS:🪙 Grace Precious Metals: https://www.metaxasmetals.com/🛏️ MyPillow — Save BIG with code ERIC: https://www.mypillow.com/☀️ Chapter -- Honest, fast, and free Medicare plan guidance: https://askchapter.com/metaxas/🦅 Patriot Mobile -- America's ONLY Christian Conservative Wireless Provider: https://patriotmobile.com/partners/me...🏛️ Socrates in the City CRUISE: https://socratesinthecity.com/cruise/<a href="https://www.youtube.c
