Alex Murdaugh was sentenced federally for conspiracy to commit wire fraud, bank fraud, and money laundering. Alex Murdaugh Appealed the sentencing but the government dismissed it because part of the plea was that he would not appeal the decisions that would be made. Murdaugh's murder case is still going through the appeal process for new trial due to Becky Hill's interference and his appeal on the murder conviction is still on hold.
