Simone Maier - Multi-Sport World Champ on Racing with Richie McCaw, Sexual Abuse & Mental Health

Simone Maier- most of you probably won’t know the name, but you are in for a treat! Simone is, plain and simply a multisport savage. She has won the Coast to Coast four times, after moving to NZ from Germany at 20 unable to speak any English.

She was also teammates in a Godzone event with Richie McCaw and was a contestant on the reality TV show “Tracked.”

But what makes Simone's story is the adversity. Before she came here and experienced the highest or highs, she had to endure very low lows growing up, events which culminated in Simone spending a full year in rehab for an eating disorder and self-harm.

Because of all the themes we discuss, I’ve included a list of resources and numbers available to call in NZ if you feel the need to talk to a professional (You’ll find these at the bottom of this page).

This episode was made entirely possible by the team at Radix. Radix sponsor Simone and took care of all her travel arrangements for this chat. We both gush about how much we love Radix products in this chat. Simone is one of the elite communities that have known about Radix stuff for years. High performance sports people have been using the stuff for years. Its only now that us regular people are learning about this incredible Kiwi creation from Hamilton.

Protein powders, smoothie recovery powders and the best freeze-dried meals in the world.

If you want 2024 to be the year you bring your health and fitness goals to life, Radix can help.
