138. Cyanide Mallika: India's First Female Serial Killer

For over a decade, Cyanide Mallika preyed on women in Karnataka, luring them with promises of wealth and spiritual rituals before poisoning them with cyanide-laced food or water. She would convince her victims to remove their jewelry for a cleansing ritual, then kill them and flee with their valuables. Her crimes went unnoticed until 2007, when investigators linked a series of similar deaths, leading to her arrest. But was Mallika the only woman in India’s history to kill this way—or just the one who got caught?Visit My Muse and use CODE: DESI10 to get 10% off your *fun* order. https://mymuse.in/desiFor fastest updates, follow our socials at: https://www.instagram.com/desicrime/Aryaan https://www.instagram.com/aryaanmisra/Aishwarya https://www.instagram.com/aishwaryasinghs/For extra episodes, early access, silly bloopers, subscribe at: https://www.patreon.com/thedesistudios or join our YouTube family https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCnbfV0YvrxWMq3h0hmo13Jg/joinTo buy Desi Studios merch, visit: https://kadakmerch.com/collections/desi-studios
