Digital Assets, Day Trading, & Dad Life w/ Sam Kavanaugh | 159

Sam KB and I discuss advanced trading strategies and economic speculations for 2025, emphasizing the benefits of spread betting in the UK, such as tax-free profits and reduced costs through broker negotiations.

We explore the potential for a weaker dollar under Trump’s policies, creating favorable conditions for cryptocurrencies, blue-chip stocks, and tech sectors, while commodities like oil may cool. The conversation touches on geopolitical impacts, including a potential Russian market recovery if peace is reached in Ukraine, and niche opportunities like trading the ruble despite high costs.

We also address the psychological challenges of trading, highlighting the distinction between long-term profitability and monthly gains, the importance of mechanical strategies for beginners, and avoiding emotional decision-making. Finally, we stress the value of diversified income for stability, drawing parallels between the unpredictability of parenthood and the resilience needed for trading success.
