Interview: Daniel Penny Saved Strangers — New York Put Him on Trial

Thomas Kenniff, the attorney who won Daniel Penny's acquittal, joins David Knight to walk through why the civil lawsuit that followed is opportunism — and why the medical examiner's office amended its cause of death finding within 24 hours, well before toxicology came back, in what Kenniff calls a straightforward capitulation to political pressure. Jordan Nealy had 50-plus prior arrests, an outstanding bench warrant for felony assault, and was considered by professionals to be among the most severely psychotic people on the street — a paranoid schizophrenic the system declined to institutionalize at every turn.
