From Failed Actor to $1B Real Estate Empire - Never Give Up | Ryan Serhant EP 814

Growing up in a large family with three sisters and two brothers, Ryan Serhant spent years searching for his true calling. He tried every sport, took countless classes, and even pursued acting, but nothing clicked as his definitive path. That all changed when he accidentally got his real estate license to pay rent during the 2008 financial crisis. Unlike acting, where rejection felt deeply personal, Ryan approached real estate with a volume-based mindset, making a conscious decision that no one could outwork him. He committed to waking up earlier and going to bed later than anyone else, refusing to let modern discussions about work-life balance deter him from his mission. What sets Ryan apart isn't just his work ethic – it's his unshakeable persistence. After his first big commission check of $24,000, which covered a year's rent, he immediately set his sights on bigger goals. This same determination led him to pitch show concepts to Bravo nearly 30 times before they finally gave him a chance with "Sell It Like Serhant." Ryan's philosophy is simple yet powerful: work so hard that you make luck easy to find. Through consistent effort and refusing to take no for an answer, he transformed from a struggling actor into one of real estate's most recognizable faces, proving that sometimes your greatest strength isn't being the most connected or talented – it's being the one who never gives up.
