There's More to the Christmas Story Than You Think (Benjamin L. Gladd)
Most Christians know that the Bible presents Jesus as Israel's Messiah and the fulfillment of many of the prophecies and promises of the Old Testament, and yet sometimes we don't know exactly how Jesus fulfilled these things or why it matters for our understanding of him and his mission. In this interview, Benjamin L. Gladd walks through the beginning of the Gospel of Luke to show the significance of Jesus's birth in the bigger picture of Scripture. Benjamin L. Gladd is a professor of the New Testament at Reformed Theological Seminary. He has written several books on biblical theology, edits the Essential Studies in Biblical Theology series, and serves on the editorial board of Themelios.
