Australia Post Closures & AUKUS UNRAVELLING: A Turning Point for Australia? | Citizens Report 5 November 2026

Australia is at a political turning point. A NEW government inquiry into Australia Post and the viability of its entire network of post offices offers a breakthrough for the campaign to save post offices and establish a public bank, while a landmark public inquiry report delivers a devastating assessment of AUKUS and its implications for Australian sovereignty. Eliza Barwick and Robert Barwick examine the US election fallout, Donald Trump's political troubles, Netanyahu and US foreign policy, rising interest rates, Australia's banking crisis and the growing movement to restore Australia's national sovereignty. What happens next? The power to change things rests with the people.
