Portals & Politics - Bad Bible Takes

Send us Fan Mail

Are Christians being led astray by extreme teachings—and not even realizing it?

In this episode of The Caffeinated Christian, we break down two very different—but equally dangerous—misuses of Scripture:

Claims of “heavenly portals” and supernatural access on demand
A rising political voice using Jesus and Scripture out of context

At first glance, they seem unrelated. But they share the same root issue:
👉 Taking the Bible out of context to support a pre-existing agenda.

We tackle questions like:

Does the Bible teach we can access the supernatural realm at will?
What does Scripture actually say about visions and angels?
Did Mary give “consent” in the birth of Jesus—or is that a modern reinterpretation?
How do we spot when someone is using Jesus instead of following Him?

⚠️ The danger isn’t just bad theology—it’s being shaped by it without realizing it.

Don’t reshape Jesus to fit your ideology. Let Him reshape you.
